Maximum Tolerable Period of Disruption

Maximum Tolerable Period of Disruption (MTPD) is defined by ISO 22301 as: “Time it would take for adverse impacts, which might arise as a result of not providing a product/service or performing an activity, to become unacceptable”

Abriska can be configured to utilise alternative terminology for MTPD e.g. MAO - Maximum Acceptable Outage. The operation of Abriska will be the same regardless of the terminology used.

Abriska determines the MTPD for an activity by using the organisation's threshold for each impact that is defined against anthat activity. A graphical presentation of this is shown below.
